Inside Team Australia's Women's World Cup Camp

Double training day

Entry #5, Amy McCann, Edmonton

After dusting off the cob webs in the first training yesterday morning, we were all eager to get out on the field for the double session on Sunday, with a morning session of PFPs followed by infield-outfield and an afternoon hitting session.  In the words of Khatut, I think we looked hot, like a sunrise. ;) 

And so to post-training recovery, I was hanging for the pool and the rope swing and diving boards again, but as the lifeguard didn't show up, the Uni of Alberta pool was closed.

Not only was I distraught by the lack of play time, ahem, I mean recovery for the next day, this meant ice baths back at the rooms.

On the first few days in camp

It's been good to be around the girls from the other states again and of course, the pitching staff. It's been great to work through all the plays and get the funk out from the long flights.

Looking ahead to pitching in the practice game vs USA

I am really looking forward to getting out on the mound for the first time and doing the best I can do for Australia, regardless if it is a practice game or not.
